This blog is about landscape in its many guises: as process and artifact, as collective endeavour and design project, as wilderness and interior and as history and idea. The ‘main course’ is my own work on the subject in 20 years of learning, designing, researching and teaching in Landscape Architecture, including projects, studies, drawings and writings. To avoid it becoming a portfolio (although it is that too) I blog about the work retrospectively and critically: documentation and reflection with the benefit of hindsight and the distance of time, placing it in a broader perspective than its original context. In time I hope to also explore the work of others and other perspectives on landscape. And for good measure I add some of my own left-field hobbies and fascinations, just for the sake of blogging.
